- Describe the parts of a typical long bone and explain the structural differences between compact and spongy bone
- Explain the process of ossification, including the role of primary and secondary centres, and distinguish between different types of epiphyses
- Identify sesamoid bones and explain their functional significance with clinical examples
- Compare the three types of cartilage (hyaline, elastic, fibrocartilage) by structure, distribution, and clinical relevance
- Classify synovial joints by shape and demonstrate the range of movements at each type with examples
- Apply Hilton's law to predict the nerve supply of any given joint
